This policy explains what information the Organic Growers website (organicgrowers.online) collects, why, and what your choices are. We have tried to keep it as plain as the rest of the site.
What we collect
Information you submit
When you use one of the intake forms (farmer, buyer, or contact), we store what you enter: your name, organisation, email address, phone number (optional), region, role, and message. Alongside the submission we record the page it was sent from, the date and time, your IP address, and your browser's user-agent string. This technical context helps us respond appropriately and filter abuse.
Information we do not collect
- We set no analytics or advertising cookies and run no third-party trackers.
- We do not build browsing profiles of visitors.
- Reading the site requires no account, email, or personal information of any kind.
Why we collect it
Form submissions are used for exactly one purpose: responding to your request and, where you have asked to join the network, coordinating the onboarding or sourcing conversation that follows. We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing.
Where it lives and how long
Submissions are stored on the server that hosts this website and are accessible only to the Organic Growers team. We keep them for as long as needed to handle your request and maintain the working relationship that may follow. You can ask us to delete your submission at any time (see below).
Third-party services this site uses
Loading some pages makes your browser request resources from third parties:
- Google Fonts — typefaces, on all pages. Google receives the technical request data any web server receives.
- OpenStreetMap tiles and the Leaflet library (unpkg CDN) — only on the farmer directory page, to draw the map.
Each provider processes those requests under its own privacy policy. No form data is ever sent to them.
Your choices and rights
- Access or correction — ask us what we hold from your submissions, or ask us to correct it.
- Deletion — ask us to delete your submissions; we will confirm once done.
- Objection — tell us to stop contacting you about a submission at any time.
To exercise any of these, send a request through the contact page using the same email address you originally submitted, so we can verify it is you.
Changes to this policy
If our data practices change, this page will be updated and the "last updated" date revised. Material changes will be noted prominently on this page.
